The Secretary of State’s office weighs in on the Pollina Senate-Shopping Controversy. Turns out he’d need only a year’s residency in Chittenden to make the nut. To wit:

“Under Chapter 2, Section 15 of the Vermont Constitution:

“No person shall be elected a Representative or a Senator until the person has resided in this State two years, the last year of which shall be in the legislative district for which the person is elected.”
