In perhaps the cruelest blow of all, a Hennepin County judge in Minnesota has ruled that GOP Senator Larry Craig cannot withdraw his guilty plea, filed in relation to charges of disorderly conduct.

In related news, the judge also ruled that Craig’s toe could not be untapped, nor the GOP’s chances of regaining their Congressional majorities unscrewed.
